GreenHaven at SatGISPlan 2025 – how satellite data supports agricultural insurance
On February 27, we had the pleasure of participating in the SatGISPlan 2025 conference in Zielona Góra as both exhibitors and speakers. It was an excellent opportunity to share our knowledge and experience in using satellite data for drought analysis and agricultural risk assessment.
Our presentation: drought monitoring for agricultural insurance
During the event, we presented the topic:
"Multisensor drought monitoring for agricultural insurance risk assessment."
The talk drew a lot of interest from attendees. We discussed how data from various satellite sources — optical, radar, and thermal — can be integrated to provide a precise picture of the hydrological situation in crop fields.
What sets us apart?
➡️ Precise analysis of local weather conditions
➡️ Automated risk report generation
➡️ Tools supporting decision-making for insurers and farmers
Inspiring conversations and valuable takeaways
At the conference, we had the chance to engage with experts from the GIS and space technology sectors, as well as representatives from academia. These conversations confirmed that satellite data is the future of agriculture and insurance — and that Poland has the potential to be a leader in this field.
Key takeaways from the event:
✅ Satellite data fusion – integrating multiple sources leads to exceptional accuracy in analysis
✅ Automated analytics systems – the industry needs tools that not only present data but also offer actionable recommendations
✅ Rapid growth of the Polish GIS sector – increasing interest in remote sensing technologies is opening new opportunities for innovation
What’s next?
Participating in SatGISPlan 2025 reinforced our belief that our technology addresses real needs in both the agricultural and insurance sectors. Ahead of us are the next stages of development, testing, and implementation. We’ll be sharing more important updates very soon!
